This core tourist area is simply awash with shopping of all kinds, from the cheapest and tackiest plazas, full of tourist gift shops, to the purpose-built centres. This area has been renowned for discount outlet shopping.
Prime Outlets International
At the top of I-Drive, Prime has gone all out for the big, semi-open-air style that encourages people to wander the long interior promenades full of welcoming shop fronts and big-name brands. Boasting a landscaped canal running through the centre, outdoor seating, cafés, a Market Place food court and a free-standing Guest Services centre, it provides a wealth of shopping opportunity with a luxury tinge.
In your Brit Guide to Orlando you'll find an offer for a free coupon book to save you money in some of the finest stores at Prime Outlets Internatiional.
Festival Bay
Also at the top end of I-Drive is this unique indoor mall. Its mix of shops and entertainment is quite unusual, and many of the stores will be unfamiliar to Brits; but don’t let that put you off as there are some interesting shops to discover here and some very good value (though up to a third of the units remain empty, which can be off-putting). The emphasis here is as much on entertainment as shopping, and the village street style is aimed at the casual wanderer.
The Pointe Orlando
This is another I-Drive complex to have undergone a major change recently. The dramatic rebuild has opened a new entrance plaza directly from I-Drive, as well as adding a wealth of new shops and especially restaurants, making this a great choice for an evening out as well as retail therapy.
